This Privacy Policy explains how Interpret, Inc. (d/b/a "TamTone," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information in connection with the TamTone website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization (a "Customer"), Customer may control how information is processed in the Service. In that case, we may process information as a service provider/processor on behalf of Customer, and Customer's policies may apply.
1) Scope
This Policy applies to information we process when you:
- Visit our marketing pages (including tamtone.com or the Service homepage)
- Create an account, authenticate, or use the Service
- Connect integrations (e.g., call platforms) and sync content
- Upload or process call recordings, transcripts, and related metadata
- Use AI-powered features that generate summaries, tags, and insights
- Contact us or otherwise communicate with us
2) Information We Collect
We collect information from you, your organization, connected services, and automatically from your device.
A. Account and workspace information
- Name, email address, authentication identifiers
- Workspace/organization details and membership/role information
- Preferences and settings
B. Customer Content (content you provide or sync)
Depending on how you use the Service, this can include:
- Call recordings and/or transcripts
- Call metadata (dates, duration, participants if provided, titles, IDs)
- Notes, labels, tags, and other annotations
- AI-generated outputs derived from the above (summaries, classifications, insights)
Important: Customer Content may contain personal information (including voice data and conversation content). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights, permissions, and consents to provide this content to TamTone and to allow TamTone to process it as described here.
C. Usage, device, and log data
- Pages/screens viewed and actions taken in the Service
- Device/browser information, IP address, approximate location (derived from IP)
- Log files, crash reports, and performance diagnostics
D. Billing information
- Plan tier, subscription status, invoices, and payment history
- Payment card details are processed by our payment processor; we typically do not store full card numbers
E. Communications
- Support requests, emails, feedback, and other communications you send us
3) How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and administer accounts/workspaces
- Process Customer Content to generate requested insights and outputs
- Provide support and respond to inquiries
- Bill for subscriptions and prevent fraud/abuse
- Monitor security, reliability, and performance
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
4) How We Share Information
We may share information with:
A. Service providers (subprocessors)
Vendors that help us run the Service (e.g., hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, error monitoring, customer support, email delivery, billing/payment processing). They are authorized to process information only as needed to provide services to us.
B. AI/ML providers (to provide the Service)
If you use AI features, we may send Customer Content (such as transcript text or excerpts) to third-party model providers to generate outputs. We use these providers to provide the Service.
Content training note: We do not use your Customer Content to train public, general-purpose models for others' benefit unless you explicitly agree. We may use de-identified and aggregated data (that does not identify you or call participants) to improve our Service.
C. Integrations you enable
If you connect third-party services, we receive data from those services as authorized by you and their APIs. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.
D. Legal, safety, and compliance
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process, or government requests
- Protect rights, property, or safety of TamTone, our users, or others
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
E. Business transfers
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
5) Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in and maintain session state
- Remember preferences
- Improve the Service and understand usage patterns
- Support security and fraud prevention
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some cookies are required for the Service to function.
6) Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Service and fulfill contracts

- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
Retention of Customer Content may depend on your subscription, settings, and instructions (where available). We may retain limited backups for a reasonable period for security and disaster recovery.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a copy of certain information (portability)
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

9) California Privacy Notice (CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CPRA), including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of certain sensitive personal information, subject to exceptions.
Sales/Sharing: We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. If we use certain analytics or advertising technologies that could be considered "sharing" under CPRA, you may request an opt-out by contacting [email protected], and we will honor applicable requirements.
10) Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11) International Transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
12) Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date, and if changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
